From about Feb this year we've been playing longer shows - like 50 minute sets, we've sometimes been wheeling out 2 extra musicians for the last 15 mins of our show.
They are two people who played on Take The Whole Midrange And Boost It
Hornby - guitars (before & after the quake - the good ones)
and Angie McCrisken (strings on TTWMABI and vocals on before & after the quake - the good ones)
We're having a really amazing time playing shows and then opening them right out after 35-40mins, taking them somewhere else, increasing the amount of crazy idiots on stage, generally having loads of fun and also, being able to play some of the more adventurous songs we've created in the studio on Take The Whole Midrange...
Settle down if you're worried about us not being a two piece - which seems to be a big deal for people. We're still two dingbats - we just have two more talented dingbats joining in the party when we can afford it.
It's something we'd like to be able to bring to every show and maybe some day we'll be able to.
Has anyone seen it?
We think the last couple of shows (oxegen & glasgowbury) have really locked into place and it's been really exciting for us to play songs like before & after the Quake, TTWMABI and The Never Never with full force.
any thoughts?
