Hailing from (or at least loitering in) Virginia this band have been around for over 2 decades. Originally called Baboon until they discovered another, more musically gifted band had that name, they have slowly but surely released albums totally unbounded by the restraints of taste and quality. Their latest effort features a sprinkling of guest vocals and percussion from none other than me, this has no doubt helped album sales reach the heddy heights of almost double figures.
For reasons beyond comprehension they were asked to record for the DVD soundtrack of 80s comedy cop show Sledge Hammer and have also appeared on at least one heavy metal compilation album, but i'm not sure which one.
Baboon Rising have never taken themselves too seriously, why should we disillusion them.
